A new computer lab for students of accounting

In the framework of the project “Enhancement Quality of Financial Reporting in Albania” (EQ-FINREP) -Albania (TF 098 923), is conducted the procurement procedure “Supply of computer equipment and accounting software” with beneficiaries, Accounting Departments of the Economic Faculties of The University of Tirana and The Agriculture University of Tirana, which enabled accounting equipping laboratories with 30 computers (15 units for each university) as well as the software’s installation of accounting.

At the end of this procedure, on 23 September 2016, at the Faculty of Economics, University of Tirana it was held an inaugural event for the new laboratory equipped with computers for accounting students.

Present at the event were Deputy. Minister of Finance Mr. Erjon Luci, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Mr.Dhori Kule, representatives from the World Bank, Embassy of Switzerland, and the Directorate responsible for the implementation of projects financed by the World Bank and other donors in the Ministry of Finance.

In their remarks participants appreciated the investment function and the implementation of other activities envisaged under this project and aimed at providing support to enhance the capacities of various actors in the country, including in the application of accounting standards and auditing, and improving professional curricula of universities in the field of accounting and auditing.
